The name Lampron was used as early as 1685 by Maurice Lampron, dit Lacharité, b. 26 Aug 1685, Nicolet River, Nicolet, Québec, Canada. He was one of seven children born to Jean dit Lacharite Laspron and Anne Renault.
NOTE: All present day Lamprons living in Canada and the United States can trace their ancestral roots back to Jean Baptiste dit Lacharite Laspron.
